Ruta what?

Rutabaga. I’ve never tried it, but it enticed me in the produce aisle with a tagline that read, “great in salads.” And so it was. I love that salads can up your veggie count instantly. We had at least 7 different veggies and an assortment of greens. Whoo-hoo! So back to the rutabaga. It was pretty tasty. Crunchy like a radish, but not such a strong flavor, more like kohlrabi. Actually milder than kohlrabi, but very similar. I’m glad I picked it up. Oh, and it was ok with the kids. I tell you, Kate is motivated by the sticker chart. She jumped up from the table after one bite to add her sticker. Again, whoo-hoo!
